"Covel Dessert Tasting:" You would think that with all-you-can-eat dining halls, we already would have thought to try ALL THE DESSERTS at once... and score them, of course. The Friends' Choice Award for Best Covel Dessert went to the Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffeecake (with the Cheesecake in a close second). Now you know.

The letters A, M, and I are symmetrical so it takes a while for the viewer to adjust to the fact that these neon letters are actually reversely placed. The viewer is on the "inside" of the artwork and cannot view it from the exterior. This piece not only represents how we're always on the inside looking out, it also comments on the difficulty at seeing what is wrong with not just the word "America", but also our country -- Thoughts from my first time at the Hammer museum.
